Hailing from Wildernis and recorded in the little nowhere town of Ladismith, Chris McCandless conjures up a well produced, earthy blues boogie with raunchy vocals and vibey acoustic guitars. It’s nothing you’ve never heard before and could easily pass for a Dave Matthews/Jack Johnson-ish B-side track. But the fact of the matter is it’s upbeat, it grooves and the fancy acoustic guitar solos will surely impress. If McCandless never makes it out of Wildernis, a track like this will at least make it on the radio.
