After having toured with the likes of Killswitch Engage, Protest the Hero, Architects, and Darkest Hour, Cleveland, Ohio's metal warriors, Affiance, will be embarking on their first-ever South African tour in March 2014.

Tickets for the shows, one in Durban, two in Johannesburg and one in Pretoria, go on sale this Wednesday, November 27th. The tour will culminate with a special headlining performance at Sunfest 5.

Known for their energetic mix of modern metal and old school influences, along with vocalist Dennis Tvrdik's range, Affiance visits South Africa hoping to show fans what the metal community has been raving about. In an interview with Rock Revolt Magazine, Tvrdik talked about their most recent album, The Campaign (2012): "The vast majority of people like it. It rubbed some people the wrong way and to be honest, I'm glad it did. I don't expect every person to agree with us or be our fan. There are a lot of people out there I don't want at our shows because they are a part of the problem with the music scene. We want to be part of the solution."

Locally, their Guitar Hero-themed music video for "Call to the Warrior" became a favourite on the popular alternative music programme, MK Ondergrond.

Affiance's tour dates in South Africa:

22 March 2014: LIVE – The Venue, Durban
26 March 2014: Rumours Lounge, Johannesburg
28 March 2014: Arcade Empire, Pretoria
29 March 2014: Sunfest 5, Sundowners, Johannesburg
